Ingredients

  • 1 6 oz. pkg. butterscotch morsels
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1-1/3 cups sifted flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts

Step 1

Melt morsels and butter. Remove from heat and beat in sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients and stir into butterscotch mixture. Add nuts.
Divide mixture and place on two long rolls. Chill thoroughly.
Heat oven to 375.
Slice rolls thinly and place on ungreased baking sheet about 2” apart.
Bake for 5 to 6 min.

Note: Long rolls can be wrapped in foil and frozen. Then let rolls stand at room temperature a few minutes to soften slightly before slicing.
