  • 3 c brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Popcorn
  • Peanuts

Step 1

1. Pop your popcorn and add the peanuts. Keep the popcorn and peanuts in a 175 oven to keep warm.

2. In a sauce pot - add the brown sugar, maple syrup and the butter - on med heat combine all these ingredients to make the caramel.
**Technique**
Using a brush and some water - brush down the sides of the pot to keep the pot clean and the caramel clear.
3. Once you hit 255 on a candy thermometer - add a splash of vanilla. - and a splash of vinger and a pinch of salt. Also add a little bit of baking soda. Stir really well.
4. Once the caramel is done - pour it over the warm popcorn and coat each piece - cook in the oven at 175 for an hour and a half. Stir it once or twice while it's in the oven.
