- 1 PACKAGE 3OZ JELL-O (RED)
- 1 PACKAGE 3OZ JELL-O (GREEN)
- 2 CUPS WATER, BOILING
- 1 8OZ COOL WHIP LITE, THAWED

Step 1
PREPARE CAKE MIX AS DIRECTED ON PACKAGE. POUR BATTER INTO 2 ROUND PANS, 8" OR 9-1/2" (DO NOT USE PANS WITH REMOVABLE BOTTOMS). BAKE AS DIRECTED; COOL 10 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM PANS; COOL COMPETELY. PLACE CAKE LAYERS, TOP SIDE UP BACK IN THE 2 CLEAN PANS. PRICK EACH LAYER WITH UTILITY FORK AT 1/2 INCH INTERVALS. POUR 1 CUP OF THE BOILING WATER OVER RED GELATIN IN BOWL - STIR UNTIL DISSOLVED. REPEAT WITH GREEN JELLO. SPOON RED JELL-O OVER ONE LAYER AND GREEN OVER OTHER LAYER. REFRIGERATE 3 TO 4 HOURS. DIP PAN IN WARM WATER 10 SECONDS; INVERT ONTO PLATE, GENTLY SHAKING TO LOOSEN. SPREAD WITH 1 CUP COOL WHIP. REPEAT FOR 2ND LAYER AND INVERT ON 1ST LAYER. FROST WITH REMAINING TOPPING. REFRIGERATE
