PEAR WALNUT SALAD

Great anytime of the year, but especially when comice pears are at their peak at Christmas time.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups lettuce, ice berg or butter torn into bite size pieces
- 1 pear, cored, chopped or sliced
- 1/4 cup walnut halves, toasted
- 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled

Preparation
Step 1
In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine all dressing ingredients.
Shake until well blended and sugar is dissolved.
Refrigerate to blend flavors.
In a large bowl combine all salad ingredients.
Just before serving, pour dressing over salad; toss to coat.
Sprinkle with blue chesse, and serve.
