Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 4 tablespoons sour milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup nuts
- Icing:
- 1 stick butter
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1 pound box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Cream together sugar and butter. Add egg yolks. Stir in flour, soda, sour milk, vanilla, mashed bananas, and nuts.
Fold in egg whites that have been beaten stiff.
Pour into greased and floured 9x11 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center of cake comes out clean.
For icing, melt butter and milk and bring to a boil. Pour over powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour over warm cake.
