Banana Boats

This is a great recipe for camping. I learned this recipe when I was a Girl Scout. This is a must have in our family every time we go camping.

Ingredients

• 5-6 Bananas, ripe
• 5 Hershey's chocolate bars
• 1 pkg. mini marshmallows
• aluminum foil

Preparation

Step 1

Burn your campfire down where no big flames are visible, just red coals.

Split the banana halfway through the peel and meat. Do not cut all the way through. Slightly separate the peel from the meat with your finger. Stuff broken pieces of the chocolate bar along the sides and in the middle of the banana, leaving some room for the marshmallows. Stuff the marshmallows into the middle and sides of the banana. Repeat the process with the remaining bananas. Wrap all the bananas individually with the aluminum foil.

Place bananas on the hot coals for approx. 3 minutes. Turn the banana over and cook another 2-3 minutes. Pull one off the fire and check to make sure all the chocolate is melted. Then pull all the bananas off and enjoy!
