Ingredients
- 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 stick
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 loaf thick sliced bread
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
- cinnamon for sprinkling

Step 1
Melt butter in microwave and add brown sugar, stir until mixed.
Pour butter and sugar mixture into a 9" x 13" pan, spread around. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla. Lay single layer of bread in pan. Spoon 1/2 of the egg mixture on the bread layer. Sprinkle some cinnamon over bread and eggs. Add 2nd. layer of sliced bread. Spoon on remaining egg mixture. Cover and chill overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, (cover for the first 30 minutes).
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
Serve with maple syrup.
