Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups apples, finely chopped (McIntosh or Jonathon)
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cream/evaporated milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1
Cream together thoroughly butter, sugar, and egg. Mix in sour cream. Sift in dry ingredients. Stir in apples. Place in 2 square pans or 1 - 13 x 9 inch. top with nuts. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
Let Cool; top with warm sauce.
Cook all sauce ingredients cook till boils and thickens ( may take up to 20 mins). Stir occasionally. Pour warm over cake.
