Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • Caramel Layer:
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Pecan halves
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Combine crest mix. Pat firmly into ungreased 13x9x2 in. Sprinkle pecans over unbaked crust. Prepare carmel layer, pour over pecans and crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 18/22 min. or until caramel layer is bubbly. Immediately sprinkle with chips. Allow to melt 2/3 min. Swirl chips as they melt, leave some whole for marble effect. Do not spread chips. Cool completely. Cut in 3/4 doz. bars.
Caramel layer: Brown sugar and butter in saucepan. Cook stirring constantly until melted and begins to boil. Boil for 1/2 min. Stirring constantly.
