Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef, or ground turkey
- 1 Med. onion, chopped
- 2 (29 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 (29 z) cans tomato sauce
- 3 cups water
- 3 green peppers, chopped
- 2 cups rice, cooked
- salt, pepper and sugar to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a large pot, brown ground beef in olive oil. drain and set aside. In same pot add butter, onions and sugar, salt and pepper to taste.
Fry onions, add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and green peppers. Bring to a boil. simmer until peppers are soft. Add beef and rice to soup and cook until flavors are blended...about 15 min.
You can cut recipe in half or freeze the remaining soup.
