Ingredients
- 10 lg firm pippen apples
- 1 pint sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 C sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- CRUST
- 1 pkg swieback
- 1/2 C melted butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 TBL brown sugar

Preparation
Step 1
peal apples & slice thickly
cook apples & sugar over low heat until
apples are tender - turn w/ spatula
while cooking
beat eggs & blen w/ sour cream & salt
& vanilla
stir into apple mixture
cook until mix thickens slightly
remove from heat
CRUST (can use ready made pie crust)
make swieback into crumbs
mix all ingredients (save 1/2C for top)
put mix in spring form pan
spoon apple mix on crumbs
top w/ reserved crumbs
350 for 1 hr
can serve w/ cool whip
