Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cubed beef stew meat
  • 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 ozs. cream cheese
  • Dollop of sour cream
  • 1/2 packet onion soup mix
  • Sliced mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

In a slow cooker combine the meat, soup, onion, Worcestershire sauce and water.

Cook on low setting for 8 hours or on high setting for about 5 hours. Stir in cream cheese just before serving.

Add salt, pepper and garlic. Double the sauce, but keep the cream cheese and worcestershire sauce the same. Reduce the cooking time to about 5-6 ours on low and add a dollup of sour cream when adding the cream cheese to get an extra "tang". Add a half packet of onion soup. Serve over egg noddles. Add sauteed mushrooms about 1/2 an hour before serving.
