Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 medium onion, cut in 1/4 slices
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 medium green peppers, cut into strips
- cooked rice
- 1 tbs. corn starch
- 2 to 3 tbs. soy sauce
- 1 can tomatoes

Step 1
Trim fat from meat. Cut meat into strips. Heat oil in large skillet. Add meat, cook, turning frequently, until brown, about 5 minutes. Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes. Add green pepper during last 5 minutes. Blend cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce; stir into meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir in for 1 minute. Add drained tomatoes. Cook just until tomatoes are heated through.
Serve with rice.
