  • 1 lb. ground chuck beef
  • 1 cup packaged precooked minute rice
  • 1 can (1-lb. 12-oz.)tomatoes, undrained, cut up
  • 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Step 1

In 3-qt. casserole crumble beef. Microwave at High (10) 5 to 6 Minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Drain. Add rice, tomatoes, onion, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cover. Microwave at High (10) 8 to 11 Minutes. Stir halfway through cooking. Stir well. Let stand, covered, about 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
