Easy Method Lasagna
This spicy version does not require pre-cooking noodles. Noodles will have a firm al dente texture.

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 can (6-oz.) tomato, juice
- 1 can (8-oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (6-oz. each) tomato paste
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 2 teaspoons basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups (24-oz.) ricotta cheese
- 2 pkg. (8-oz. each) sliced Mozzarella cheese, (reserve 2 slices for top)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Step 1
. Place meat in colander, set over a casserole bowl. Microwave at High (10) 5 to 6 Minutes. Break up drained, cooked meat with fork; discard fat.
. In large bowl mix together tomato juice, tomato sauce, tomato paste, onion, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, garlic, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in drained meat. Spread Vz cup meat sauce over bottom of 2-qt. oblong dish.
Place half the uncooked noodles over sauce and top with half the ricotta cheese; then half of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers and cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with wax paper. Microwave at Medium (5) for 35 to 40 Minutes. Rotate dish 1/2 turn halfway through cooking. Place remaining Mozzarella cheese on top and continue microwaving at Medium (5) for 3 Minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let lasagna stand 5 minutes before slicing.
Quick and Easy Lasagna Variation:
Microwave and drain ground chuck and pork as directed above. Mix meat with 2 (15 1/2-oz.) jars of commercial spaghetti sauce. Layer meat sauce with noodles and cheese (use amounts and types called for in above recipe) and microwave as directed above.
