Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 can (8-oz.)crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 can (4-oz. can) chopped pimiento
  • 1/2 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 10 drops liquid pepper seasoning (tabasco)

Step 1

In 1 1/2-qt. casserole stir together sugar, cornstarch and water, until well blended. Stir in pineapple, pepper, pimiento, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce and pepper seasoning. Microwave at High (10) 5 to 7 Minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until clear and thickened. Let sauce stand 5 to 10 minutes, to develop flavor, before serving.
