Grandmother Green’s Baked Chicken with Cranberry Glaze 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts (I use boneless)
  • seasoned flour
  • 4 TBPS oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 11/2 tsp flour
  • 2 tsp margarine
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • pieces of orange peel
  • salt & pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1. Roll chicken in seasoned flour and brown in hot oil.
2. Remove chicken - place in baking dish for oven.
3. Pour off grease from chicken pan. Add ¾ c. of broth. Add orange juice, orange peel and cranberry sauce. Season with salt & pepper.
4. Bring to boil; turn to low and simmer 10 minutes.
5. Add 1½ tsp flour with remainder of broth. Cook until thickened. Add butter.
6. Pour over chicken and bake for 1 hour.
Serve with extra glaze on top chicken.
