Preparation

Step 1

A place where ideas grow

Meat pie or beef pie, delicious and looks amazing! I added 100 g of wholemeal flour (graham flour) to give the dough a little crunch, which certainly did make pie even better! But if it’s not for you, you can always use 100g plain flour more instead of wholemeal flour.

100 g wheat flour

Mix flour, egg yolk and water together and knead well. Set the dough in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling for the pie. Finely chop the onion, garlic, bell pepper and spring onion. Fry the beef in a little oil. Take the meat up on a plate and remove as much juice as possible while you are removing it from the pan. Fry the vegetables and get rid of as much juice as possible. Then add the meat to the pan again with vegetables and spice it all with chili, salt, pepper and oregano, season with any additional salt and chili.

Heat the oven to 175 C degrees hot air.

Get the pie dough out from the refrigerator, butter a pie shape with some butter and roll out the dough and get it into the mold, let no dough go to waste, use it all. Butter out 100 grams of piquant cheese as best you can on the bottom. Pour the filling into, preferably with a spoon so you can get the last juice out. Mix the eggs, sour cream and grated cheese (I used Emmental and tore it), then pour the mixture over the filling and garnish the top with half cherry tomatoes.
