Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup packed fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 3/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger*
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder**
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon honey***
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • few tablespoons water, if needed

Preparation

Step 1

1.Add all of the ingredients except the water to a blender. Process until the mixture is completely smooth. Use a little water to thin out the smoothie or to get it going in the blender if needed. Serve immediately.



Notes

I like the higher amount of ginger in my smoothie, but start with less and you can always add more.

*I add the vanilla protein powder when I have this after a workout. This is completely optional and of course feel free to leave it out.

***Depending on my mood and the type of milk I’m using, I’ll add the honey. Start with either no honey or the lower amount and adjust to your taste.
