Ingredients

  • 6 large sweet potatoes, baked, peeled and mashed or 2 large cans of sweet potatoes or yams, drained
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. good bourbon (we use Maker's Mark)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • mini-marshmallows

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except marshmallows. Beat well until light and fluffy. If needed, add a little more milk. Spoon mixture into a buttered casserole dish.

Bake at 350 degrees until set, about 40 to 50 minutes. Top with marshmallows and bake until marshmallows melt and just begin to brown.
