Ingredients
- 2 1/4 C. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 C. butter, softened not melted(butter sticks not margarine)
- 3/4 C. brown sugar, packed
- 1 C. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl, set aside.
3. Cream butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy (use mixer). Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add in flour mixture slowly until blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Drop tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-12 minutes or until light golden. Do not overbake as cookies will continue to cook someo on hot cookie.
6. Let set on cookie sheet for 2 minutes. Move to plate or waxed paper to finish cooling.
