Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 6 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 14oz bag caramel candies
- 1 5.3 oz evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips melted
- whip cream for garnish

Preparation
Step 1
heat oven to 350*
combine crumbs and butter
press into bottom of 9 inch spring form pan
bake 10 minutes
melt caramels in evaporated milk in heavy 1 quart sauce pan over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth
pour over crust
top with pecans
Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer
mix at medium speed until well blended
add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each
blend in chocolate
pour cream cheese batter over pecans
bake 40 minutes
loosen cake from rim of pan
chill
garnish with whipped cream
