Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • (using walnuts the cookie is a Wedding Cake cookie)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Cream butter and sugar

Add to creamed butter:
Water and vanilla mixing well

Blend in Flour and nuts

Chill for 4 hours in refrigerator

When chilled, shape dough into tblsp size balls or fingers

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 10 minutes.

Cool on rack

When cooled, roll in powdered sugar
