Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs. chicken
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. sage (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbs. pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 1 can beer
  • 1/2 lb. bacon

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Wash and dry chicken. Mix dry ingredients. Rub 1/2 of them in cavity and half under the skin.

Pour out 1/2 of beer. Put garlic cloves in the remaining beer. Put chicken on the can and put 1/3 of the bacon in the cavity and the rest down the outside of the chicken.

Place in oven for 10 minutes and then lower the oven to 325 degrees and cook for 1 hour.
