Potatoes: Steamed Potato Buns

Ingredients
- 4-5 medium potatoes
- 1 large onion, sliced thick
- 8 uncooked dough balls, shaped into buns and slightly raised (can use frozen bread dough)
- Salt & pepper, to taste

Step 1
Cook potatoes in microwave until soft, 5-8 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. Allow to cool. Cut potatoes into medium slices.
Heat an electric skillet to 300-325°F. Coat bottom of skillet with a drizzle of oil and 1 Tbsp. butter. Place onion slices on the bottom of the skillet. Fan potato slices evenly over the onions. Salt and pepper to taste. Place dough balls over the potatoes and cover skillet.
Cook for 20-25 minutes. Turn skillet off and allow to cool off slightly with lid still on. Do not lift lid during cooking or the buns will collapse!
