Ingredients

  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 1/3 cups apple juice
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan combine all ingredients except oatmeal; bring to boil over high heat. Stir in oatmeal, reduce heat to medium, and cook, stirring occasionally, 1 to 2 minutes. Turn off heat, cover pan and let oatmeal stand 1 minute before serving.

Note: I've made this with other fruits and juices. It's versatile, healthy, and delicious.
