Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 package yeast, or 2 1/4 teaspoon bread machine
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened- filling
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, filling
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon, filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar, icing
- 2 tablespoons milk, icing
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, icing

Step 1
1. combine milk, sugar, salt, and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 1-2 minutes . Let it cool
2. Combine flour, then yeast. Stir in egg, then milk mixture into flour.
3. Transfer dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.
4. Oil a clean bowl and let rise until doubled about 45 minutes.
5. Combine butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well blended.
6. Roll out 12 x 16 rectangle. Cut cylinder into 12 rounds- cover the pan with a damp towel, and let rise 45 minutes
7. Heat oven to 375. Bake 18 minutes then cool for 15 minutes..
