Ingredients

    cups sugar

  • 1/2

    gallon milk

  • 8

    eggs, beaten

  • 2

    tsp Vanilla extract

  • 2 to 3

    quarts cubed white bread

  • 1

    cup golden raisins

  • 1

    Tsp cinnamon

  • 2

    sticks butter

  • 2

    cups powdered sugar

  • 2-6

    tbs Maker's Mark Bourbon

Directions

1 Whisk sugar into milk until dissolved. Add eggs and vanilla stir. Place bread in mixture and let soak several hours or overnight. 2 Pour into an 9" x 11" pan. Sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon and use spoon to push them into mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for an hour to an hour-and-a-half until firm and golden brown. 3 Allow to cool before cutting or topping with bourbon sauce. 4 To make sauce: Soften butter to room temperature and mix with powdered sugar using electric mixer until smooth. Add bourbon to sauce to taste - should be an icing consistency. Ladle sauce over warm bread pudding.
