Ingredients
- pre-made pie crust homemade (I used pre-made)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1.5 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter - melted and cooled to room temp
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1.5 tablespoons of bourbon or sub vanilla extract
- 1.5 cup pecan halves

Preparation

Method:
Preheat oven to 325F. Fit pie crust in 10 inch cast iron skillet. Dust crust with powdered sugar. Whisk eggs in large bowl until foamy but not stiff pique. Whisk in all other ingredients, including chopped pecans. Arrange pecan halves atop pie in a uniform pattern. Bake at 325F for 30 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300F and bake another 30 minutes. Turn oven off and let pie sit in oven for 3 hrs with the door closed.
Serves 8-10.
