Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread (1 pound), cut into 1" cubes
  • 3 cups fully cooked ham, cubed
  • 3/4 pound Monterey Jack or Muenster cheese, cubed
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup mustard

Preparation

Step 1

1 Toss bread, ham and cheese. Place in greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Saute onion in butter until tender. Transfer to a bown. Add eggs, mil & mustard; mix well. Pour over bread mixture.
2 Cover and rerigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake uncovered at 350° for 55-65 minutes - or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve immediately
