  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 t. baking pdr
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 T. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 T melted shortening
  • nuts, optional
  • 3/4 to 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 5 ingredients
Add next 3 ingredients (and nuts)
Beat.
Pour into greased pan
Mix brown sugar and cocoa, and sprinkle over batter.
Pour hot water over all. Bake 350 until firm (30 min.)
