Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups uncooked rotini pasta (8 oz)
  • 1 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Step 1

Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.

Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef, celery and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.

Stir in pasta and remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.

If desired, add a few drops of hot sauce or 1/4 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne) for a bit of heat.
