CUT OUT COOKIES

Grammy Sack's recipe - she was the best at making the thinnest cookies.

Ingredients

• DOUGH:
• 1 cup butter
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 1/2 - 4 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 1 teaspoon hot water
• EGG YOLK PAINT:
• 1 egg yolk
• 1/4 teaspoon water
• food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients to form dough.

Chill at least 2 hours.

Roll out, cut out, and place on cookie sheets.

Decorate with egg yolk paint, applying with small paint brush on unbaked cookies, if desired.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes
