Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (3 oz.) instant oriental flavored Ramen noodles
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted
  • 2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/3 c. vegetable or peanut oil
  • 3 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • Salt, freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

MELT butter in large skillet. Add crumbled ramen noodles and almonds; cook, stirring constantly, until noodles are golden. Remove from pan; cool.

Mix cabbage, chicken and onions in a large bowl.

Mix reserved seasoning packet from noodles with oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in jar with tight fitting lid. Shake well.

Just before serving, pour dressing over salad. Toss well to mix. Serve immediately.
