Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup (Karo clear syrup)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups raw or roasted peanuts (salted cocktail peanuts).
- 1 tsp. baking soda

Step 1
Mix sugar, syrup and water. Bring to a boil in a 3 qt. saucepan. Blend in butter. Cook until 230 degrees, then stir frequently until 280 degrees. Add nuts and continue to stir until 300 degrees or har crack stage on the candy thermometer. Remove from heat, stir in baking soda well. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Cool and crack.
