Ingredients

  • 1 loaf stale french bread, cubed
  • 1 quart milk
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 1 t nutmeg
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 4 - 8 T butter
  • Whiskey Sauce
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/2 - 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs eaten
  • 1/2 cup bourbon

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients into 2 quart casserole
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees
Serve with sauce

Whiskey Sauce
Heat butter and sugar together until clear
Remove from heat and cool
Add eggs and heat about 1 minute
Add whiskey, beat 1 minute
