  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In small saucepan, cook butter over medium low heat until golden brown; do not burn. Let cool.
In mixing bowl stir togeter corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until well combined. Stir in browned butter; set aside.
Place pecans in bottom of pie shell placed in 9 inch diameter pie plate. Pour the reserved browned butter mixture over pecans. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes more or until filling is set.
