Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 bag of mini pretzels (will use about 1/2 of the bag)
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips (milk choc., dark choc. or semi-sweet)
  • Sea salt

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cover bottom with a single layer of pretzels. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. When it begins to simmer, add brown sugar. Stir occasionally letting butter and sugar meld together (DO not boil). This should take about 3 minutes. Pour slowly and evenly over pretzels. Smooth with a spatula. Put into the oven for 5 minutes.

Remove and sprinkle choc. chips evenly over the top. Put back into the oven for 45 seconds to melt chocolate. Spread evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle with sea salt. Refrigerate for a minimum of one hour. Remove from parchment paper and break into pieces.
