Lemon Snowflake Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 3 T milk
• 2 t grated lemon peel
• 1 egg
• 3 cups flour
• 1 1/2 t baking powder
• 1/2 t salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400.
In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add milk, lemon and egg, blend well. Lightly spoon in flour, baking powder and salt, mix well. Refrigerate dough if desired.
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out snowflake shapes and sprinkle with sugar/glitter as desired. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until edges are golden. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cool.
