Ingredients
- 2 cups regular oats
- 1 cup crisp rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies)
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light-colored corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons reduced-calorie stick margarine
- 1/4 cup reduced-fat creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray

Step 1
Preheat oven to 250°.
Combine oats and cereal in a large bowl; stir | well, and set aside.
Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and mar-I garine in a saucepan; cook over medium-high heat until margarine melts, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; stir well.
Press mixture firmly into an 8-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 250° for 45 minutes or until golden. Let cool in pan 10 minutes; cut into squares (well warm). Let cool completely in pan.
Yield: 16 squares (serving size: 1 square).
