Banana Rama Lama Ding Dong Pie 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 2 regular size frozen pie crusts, thawed
  • 1 small (4-serving) box white chocolate (or vanilla) instant pudding mix
  • 1 small (4 serving) box banana cream instant pudding mix
  • 1 medium size ripe banana,mashed
  • 2 cups cold whole milk
  • 2 (8 oz) containers Cool Whip, divided
  • 1/2 cup toasted coconut*

Step 1

Prick bottoms and sides of thawed pie crusts and bake as directed on package for cream pies. Cool completely on a wire rack before filling.

In a large mixing bowl, add both pudding mixes and milk and whisk vigorously until well blended. Add the mashed banana. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in 2 cups of Cool Whip into the pudding mixture. Refrigerate until crusts are completely cool.

Spoon half the pudding mixture into each cooled pie crust. Top each pie with about 2 cups of the remaining Cool Whip. Top with toasted coconut. Put in the freezer or refrigerate several hours before serving.

*((NOTE-- Pan toast the coconut in a small skillet over medium heat, tossing constantly so it won't burn. Cool completely before sprinkling over tops of pies.))
