Ingredients

  • 1 boxed chocolate cake mix (I use German chocolate)
  • 1 container Cool Whip
  • Heath candy bars or prepackaged bits in baking section
  • 1 jar ice cream caramel sauce (can use butterscotch caramel if preferred)

Step 1


Bake up cake according to box directions. Use a 9 x 13 inch cake pan.

If using a candy bar, break up in small pieces.

Thaw Cool Whip in refrigerator.

When acke comes out of oven, cool thourghly.

When cake is room temp and completely cooled, use a round object to poke multiple holes in cake.

Pour whole jar of caramel over cake, making sure holes in cake are filled with caramel. (Save a small bit of caramel to drizzle over Cool Whip and toffee pieces.)

Next, take container of THAWED Cool Whip and spread over caramel on cake.

Sprinkle toffe pieces over Cool Whip layer, followed by drizzle of caramel.

Refrigerate until served. Best if served cold.
