Ingredients

  • 6 large green peppers
  • 8 or more jalapeno peppers
  • 6 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 boxes surejell
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 C vinegar
  • green food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Wash and clean peppers; cut into pieces. Put in blender and blend well.
In large pan, put sugar, vinegar and peppers. Add surejell and bring to rolling boil. Boil for at least 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand 10 min. Skim top; add food coloring and boil for 1-5 min more. Put into clean mason jars and seal.
