Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine -- melted
  • CHOCOLATE PUDDING FILLING
  • 2 packages chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • CREAM CHEESE FILLING
  • 8 ounces cream cheese -- softened
  • 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. To make crust: mix the flour with the pecans and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and cool on wire rack.

To make chocolate pudding filling: Beat the instant pudding and the milk . Place uncovered in refrigerator and chill until set, about 15 minutes.

To make cream cheese filling: Beat the cream cheese until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add sugar and beat well. In a separate bowl, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixtures.

When the crust is cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust with a rubber spatula. Then spread the chocolate pudding mixture over that. Wrap and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
