Hot Peppered Pinto Soup with Garlic 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 14 ounces nonfat chicken broth
  • 14 ounces pinto beans, canned, drained and rinsed

Step 1

1. Saute onion-garlic in sprayed pan.

2. Add chili powder-broth. Bring to boil. Add half of beans. Cover and simmer 10 mins.

3. Puree. Add rest of beans, heat through.
