Ingredients

  • 3/4 Tablespoon margarine
  • 1 small onion -- finely chopped
  • 1 large celery stalk -- thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 cup rice -- uncooked
  • 2 heaping teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup currants or golden raisins -- optional

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in skillet. Add onion and celery. Saute until tender. Stir in curry powder and rice; stir for about 5 minutes. Dissolve soup in hot water; add currants. Add to rice and cook, covered, for 20 minutes.
