  • 1 stick room temp butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 oz anisette
  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Step 1

1) preheat 350
2)in large bowl, cream butter and sugar. add eggs 1 at a time and continue to beat until well combined. blend in anisette.

3) in medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder and mix well. add to butter mixture until incorporated.

$) on non-stick baking sheet, divide the dough into 2 equal portions and form not 2 logs about 10" long and 2" wide. bake 15 minutes til set. remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes. slice on diagonal into 1 1/2" logs. place back on baking sheet and return to oven for about 10 minutes. allow to cool completely on wire rack. dust with powdered sugar.
