Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C brown sugar, packed
  • 2/3 C light corn syrup
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/2 C heavy cream
  • 1/2 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the sugar, corn syrup and butter in a sauce pan over low heat.
Stir frequently untilnthe sugar has dissolved.
Continue cooking until the mixture forms a firm ball in cold water( 242* on a candy thermometer).
Remove mixture from thr heat; add the cream and vanilla.
Stir to blend.
Cool.
Serve warm.

Microwave reheating directions:
Place the sauce in a small bow.
Heat uncovered on high power.
( 1 cup of sauce will take 60-75 seconds, 1/2 cup will take 30-45 seconds)
Stir before serving.
