  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine -- softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips -- divided
  • CAKE
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine -- softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.

Combine topping ingredients and mix until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup of the chips.

For the cake: combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

Beat the sugar, margarine, vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in remaining chips. Spread into prepared pan; sprinkle with topping.

Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.
