Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1 3/4 cups rice -- uncooked
- 6 cloves garlic -- crushed
- 3 3/4 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground tumeric
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion, and saute 7 minutes or until tender. Add rice and garlic; saute 2 minutes. Add water and next 3 ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 23 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
